SSFMC Mission

The mission of the South Shore Folk Music Club is to support traditional and contemporary, folk acoustic music on the South Shore. We do this by bringing the finest of nationally and internationally known folk and acoustic musicians to perform concerts on the South Shore, and by hosting coffee houses and “open mic's” for local and developing musicians.

About the Club

Formed in 1978, the South Shore Folk Music Club is a non-profit organization.

We have a great space in the Beal House, which is the community building of the Unitarian Universalist Church at 222 Main Street in Kingston, MA. All ages are welcome; come with friends or come alone.

The building is wheelchair accessible and smoke-free.

Our loyal and supportive audience lets our performers know that their fans are still out here supporting them, and gives our coffee house and open mic performers the feedback and support they need to continue developing as artists.

We rely on our members and volunteers to keep the spark of enthusiasm going, so please join us!

We currently have about a dozen people who keep everything going, but we're always happy to have new volunteers.

Business Meetings

Business meetings are open to all members in good standing. We welcome your ideas for new performers and improvements to the club.
